My First Freedive Video

So this is my first freedive video. I’ve been itching to make underwater videos ever since I had my first GoPro3 and that was when I was still 18. I’ve always enjoyed watching videos about the ocean. I’ve already lost count on how many times I’ve seen BBC’s Planet Earth Shallow Seas Documentary lol.

Now that I’ve gotten myself into freediving, I’ve been holding back because I just didn’t have the confidence when it comes to my camera equipment and skill in freediving.

Paperwhites (the band), reminds me so much of the meditative feeling I get when I’m in the water.
Their dream-pop indie-synth travel feels genre just fits perfectly, in my opinion. I’m very happy I was able to make a montage with both.

Jee, Keefe and I are super new to this and have just been in it for about 3 months now. We are really just addicted to the euphoria freediving gives and to think that we can’t even go super deep yet to feel the pressure squeezing our bodies or stay underwater long enough like most divers can. Also we haven’t even enrolled in courses yet but we are def planning to since it can get very dangerous when not done right.

So while we were on our first freedive trip, we never really planned to make a video since it was just going to be a half day trip to Pescador. Gear wise, I don’t have much yet except for a borrowed Hero3, Hero4 and Hero5 with only one magenta filter but since the footage was too good that day I decided to get my first video out this soon.

That was Jee's first time seeing a turtle and she just lost her shit, she was in tears when she got back up lol. (Keefe and I kept a close eye on her kay botchok badlongon man.)
“there are no words that could explain it. I was just really blown away. It's like an eye twitching kind of feeling. It was staggering just to see it up close jchfbsjshsidg”

To everyone; Freediving is dangerous. Drowning is, of course, always a risk.
So I just like to say that if you plan to go freediving, please read and watch A LOT of videos and research first and if you got the money just get a course going. A lot of things can go wrong especially since we obviously don’t belong underwater.

We definitely had fun even though it was just a half day trip and we had to share a boat with strangers. Can’t wait to get back there with our own bangka lol.

I’m glad I got into this and I plan to stay in it for as long as I can.
Oh and I just realized that today is my YouTube Channel’s 10th anniversary, how fun haha.

“Freediving is the most natural and serene way to the depths of the oceans with minimal impact. It is also the ultimate way to free yourself and spend more time enjoying the beauty and silence of the sea. The true appeal of freediving is in the silence and calm it brings to people's hectic lives.” - AIDA
